How to use the spin wheel
- Fill the wheel. In Settings, choose Class list and pick a class (or make a new one), or choose Custom and type one entry per line.
- Spin. Press Space, click Spin or click the wheel. It turns for a few seconds while the flapper ticks over every peg.
- Meet the winner. The name appears in a big banner over the wheel, with a fanfare. Click the banner’s × or just spin again.
- Give everyone a turn. Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin”, or press X to take the last winner off. R puts every entry back.
Classroom ideas
- Fair turns: load your class and turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” for questions, reading aloud or classroom jobs — nobody is picked twice until everyone has had a go.
- Review game: type topics, question numbers or vocabulary words as custom entries and let the wheel decide what the class tackles next.
- Brain breaks: fill the wheel with quick activities — ten jumping jacks, a stretch, a riddle, a silly walk — and spin when energy drops.
- Probability talk: type one entry twice and ask whether it is now more likely to win. Spin twenty times, keep count, and compare with the slices.
- Game time: put the wheel on the Classroom Board with the scoreboard, the dice and the coin flip.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random generator before the wheel starts turning, every entry equally likely. The spin is then aimed at a random spot inside that slice; how it turns never changes who wins.
How many names can the wheel hold?
Up to 100. Every entry keeps its label: the wheel works out the largest text size that lets all the names fit, and adds pegs between slices up to 60 entries.
Are my students’ names uploaded anywhere?
No. Class lists stay in this browser’s storage and are never sent to a server. To use them on another computer, export them to a file from the class list editor.
How do I stop the same student being picked twice?
Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin”. Winners are listed under “Off the wheel” in Settings; press R or click Restore all to put everyone back.
What if my computer cannot show 3D?
The wheel switches to a flat version with the same fair picks. You can also choose the flat look in Settings.
