How to use the Classroom Scoreboard
- Set up the teams. In Settings choose 2 to 8 teams, pick a color for each and type their names — or click a name on the board to rename it, or try Fun names.
- Score. Click a team’s + button or its score, or press its number key: 1 gives team 1 a point. Z, X, C… take a point away.
- Fix mistakes. Press U to undo the last change, even a reset. Set Points per click to 2, 5 or 10 for bigger scores.
- Crown the winner. Press Space or End game for the podium, confetti and a fanfare. Play again resets the scores and keeps the teams.
Classroom ideas
- Quiz review: split the class into table teams and award a point per correct answer; the crown keeps every team chasing the lead.
- Behavior points: give points to teams for quick transitions or teamwork during the lesson, and reveal the podium before the bell.
- Spelling bee or times-tables race: two teams, one key each — you can score without leaving the front of the room.
- Game day: use the Classroom Board “Game time” template, which puts the scoreboard next to the dice and the spin wheel.
- Let a student be the scorekeeper with the number keys while you run the game.

Frequently asked questions
Which keys give and take points?
Number keys 1 to 8 give a point to that team. The keys on the bottom letter row take a point away: Z for team 1, X for team 2, then C, V, B, N, M and ,.
Can scores go below zero?
Yes. Taking points away can make a score negative, which is handy for games with penalties. Reset sets every team back to 0.
Will I lose the scores if I close the page?
No. Teams and scores are saved in this browser and come back when you reopen the scoreboard, so a game can run over several lessons.
What happens if two teams tie?
Both teams wear the crown while they share the lead, and the podium shows “It’s a tie!” with both names.
How many teams can I have?
From 2 to 8. Two teams sit side by side, three or four in a row, and five to eight in a grid that fits the screen.
